Who I am

I'm Dan Peterson, a Canadian web developer and a lifelong Montreal Canadiens fan. Latent Mirror is the intersection of a thought experiment and an intellectual playground.
I write about AI, web development, cognitive science, philosophy and, now and then, hockey.
I use AI to edit, research, fact-check, and brainstorm. Every argument is mine; a human signs off on everything.
What I'm building
- Broken Charter: A dark pixel-art guild roguelite: take contracts in a fallen empire, fight turn-based battles, and lose your heroes for good.
- Kestrel Nine: Fly as an outlawed Augmented pilot: evade the Inquisition, resist the Purge, and run every job three ways: NAV-7 alone, you alone, and both together.
- Hobby Hero: Pick two NHL teams and a date: a goal model's win chance, likely scores and what-if levers, checked honestly against the closing market.
- Mood Log: A warm-up for writing: log a song that resonates, and why. Entries stay in your own browser.
- Sudoku Search Lab: A Sudoku solver you can watch think: a demonstration, an explanation and a test of P vs NP, all in one side quest.
